EMPLOYABILITY SCHEME HELPS SUPPORT DIVERSITY IN THE WORKFORCE
An innovative scheme to increase diversity in the local labour market is celebrating success, with 70% of applicants being offered employment!
CFFE and the NHS are working in partnership, and have developed an Employability Programme that connects local business to local labour, helping to reduce high levels of worklessness and raising economic activity. This method of recruitment also supports the NHS in its endeavour to become more diverse and inclusive.
Through CFFE’s community-based recruitment service, Jobnet, several clients were identified as potential candidates to fill the vacancies. CFFE worked with the clients at each stage of the recruitment process to develop their interview skills, confidence and practical skills through practical workshops and one to ones.
Alicia Lloyd, Partnership Officer said: “Working with local employers to help them fill vacancies is an important step in reducing levels of unemployment, reducing the risk of social exclusion amongst the long-term unemployed, and promoting growth in the local economy.
“CFFE delivers a range of employment schemes and initiatives to help strengthen and support local communities and match suitable candidates with potential employers.
“We are delighted with the success of this programme and wish everyone who has been successful the very best of luck in their new roles.”
