Job Description
THIS JOB IS SUPPORTED BY THE FUTURE JOBS FUND AND THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA WILL APPLY; APPLICANTS MUST BE BETWEEN 18 & 24 AND HAVE BEEN IN RECEIPT OF JOB SEEKERS ALLOWANCE FOR AT LEAST 26 WEEKS. THIS IS A 6 MONTH PAID EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To assist in the co-ordination and service Community Radio monthly Board meetings, producing and circulating agenda’s, minutes and any other relevant papers. 2. To assist in the co-ordination and service Burngreave Community Radio Training workshops meetings and events 3. To contribute to the development and implementation of Burngreave Community Radio’s work programme and reporting requirements regarding progress made. 4. To support the process of effective representation of Burngreave Community Radio at local partnership meetings and events. 5. To assist in the development and maintain an outreach programme for Burngreave Community Radio 6. To help recruit and develop the volunteers and membership of Burngreave Community Radio 7. Encourage and develop partnership working and promote opportunities for joint funding between Burngreave Community Radio, other organisations, the Council and other public sector agencies 8. To keep abreast of relevant legislation, best practice guidance and funding opportunities to ensure that Burngreave Community Radio is kept informed about relevant developments. 9. To support the Community Radio to develop effective communication channels with the wider community using a variety of different communication tools 10. To assist in the production and distribution a Community Radio newsletter. 11. To build, maintain and update the Community Radio database. 12. To provide regular work reports to the Community Radio Board of Directors. 13. To work with the Community Radio Board of Directors to identify and secure new sources of funding via fundraising initiatives
